Miami has a wide variety of different places for Go Karting, from outdoor race tracks under palms to indoor tracks with electric karts.
Trying to choose between them can be difficult. How can you know which is the best for you to pick?

AMR Motorplex
AMR Motorplex is an outdoor Go Karting complex with two different tracks. In terms of setting this is one of the coolest tracks we found, placed in the heart of the city.
State: Florida

Track: The track has two different circuits including a 0.7 mile circuit with 11 turns and a 0.3 mile track with 3 turns.
The first one is a competition track that can be used by kart owners, and the second is a much more simplistic track for rentals.
If you’re racing late, there’s a good chance you’ll be in the dark under floodlights, which is an atmosphere we haven’t found on other tracks.
Karts: AMR offers two kinds of karts, firstly is the 25 CRG Centurion Rental Karts, which are capped at 45mph for safety, and then the 9 Horsepower Rental Karts for a more intense experience.
Centurion Rental Karts go up to 45mph, and the 9 Horsepower Rental Karts can go up to 55mph.
Food & Beverages: No food facilities on-site, but there are lots of options in their surrounding area for you to go to once you’re done racing.
Booking: AMR has many different options for booking, including groups, singles, and options for those who already own a kart. For Kart owners, there is a $50 charge for a 1 day pass. For rentals:
- $25 for 1 races
- $45 for 2 races
- $65 for 3 races.

Restrictions: 60” to reach the pedals on adult karts and 14 years old minimum. This is not the best track to take kids to for this reason.
Miami GP Raceway
Miami GP Raceway is a great option if you’re looking for long opening hours, a large track, an electronic timings & rankings system, a snack bar, and support leagues for those who want to get more involved after their first visit.

Track: Their track is large coming in at over ½ a mile, featuring 11 distinct turns.
This track is a great middle-ground between a larger outdoor track and a more circular indoor track. It has sharp turns but also straights that will allow you to reach the top speeds of your Go Kart.
Karts: They offer rentals on 9HP Go Karts. These have been designed to give you the true experience of what a professional racing kart might feel like, with high top speeds and acceleration, with top speeds up to 50 mph!
Food & Beverages: They have a snack bar attached to the track with seating.
The snack bar mostly offers smaller treats and soda. If you’re looking for a big meal, this won’t be what you’re looking for, but it’s perfect for a snack between races.
Merch Shop: Attached to the snack bar there are several pieces of merchandise you can buy, including gloves, hats, and other pieces of clothing with the Miami GP Raceway logo!
Booking: Rentals from $25 for one race, $65 for 3 races, and $100 for 6 races. They also have multiple options for larger group bookings.
Restrictions: Standard restrictions and rules include full-toed shoes, having hair tied up, wearing a head sock, and helmets. (They will supply it for you).
There is an age limit of 8 years and up, but they have adjustable pedals to fit different heights.
K1 Speed Miami
K1 is one of the most popular Go Karting chains in the USA. The Miami K1 is a great starting point for new Go Karters with 2 indoor tracks and electric karts. They also have a lot of additional facilities including

Track: This K1 Miami Track offers two different tracks. Both are indoor and offer several quick laps.
Karts: K1 offers electric karts instead of petrol-powered carts, but that’s not to say you miss out on any of the speed. They can go up to 45 mph and are much less dangerous for the environment and your health.
Food & Beverages: K1 Miami has what is called the ‘Paddock Lounge,’ which is a small restaurant inside the complex.
It offers a selection of American classics for low prices, including tacos, pizza, wings, sides, and a selection of desserts.
Merch Shop: There is a small merch shop attached with all kinds of K1 Merchandise for sale.
Booking: You can reserve a time slot at K1 by booking a Group Event with a minimum of 8 People, or you can check out their walk-in pricing which has a selection of different options for you to choose from.
You can pick individual races, or buy a Speedpass package that comes with 2 races, a T-shirt, and a membership.
Restrictions: There are some basic rules and flag signs that you’ll have to follow when going racing, as well as a height restriction.
All junior racers must be 48” tall. Adult and teen racers will need to be 58” to race in their faster Go Karts.
Karting At Miami Dezerland Park
Next up is the Go Karting track at Dezerland Park. This is an indoor track that is a little smaller than some of the others on this list, but it’s in a great location and has options for both adults and kids.

Track: Two different tracks including the smaller Cadet Track for kids, and the Pro Track for adults and those looking to push their skills.
Karts: The Go Karts differ in size and correspond to their tracks. Cadet Karts have a top speed of 30 mph and the adults pro Karts go up to 40 mph.
Food & Beverages: Because the tracks are located within the Dezerland Park complex, there are a lot of different options for food including pizza, burgers and ice cream restaurants.
Entertainment: This track is part of the legendary Dezerland PArk which offers a series of different activities including bowling, an arcade, and a movie theater.
Merch Shop: There’s no Merch Shop specifically for Go Karting, but there is a Merch Shop in Dezerland Park that sells a variety of different pieces of merchandise.
Booking: Karting Miami at Dezerland has a few different options for prices. For the Cadet Track you can pay $15 for 1 race, or $30 for 3 races.
For the pro track, it’s a little steeper in price with 1 race for $30, 3 races for $60, and 5 Races for $85. There are also options to book as a group so that you can all race together.
Restrictions: All Cadet racers must be 48” tall. Adult and teen racers on the Pro track will need to be 58” to race in their faster Go Karts. Helmets, head socks, and closed-toed shoes are mandatory.
Go Karting At Xtreme Action Park
An indoor racing track with a short, sharp 5-turn pro track and a small 2-turn cadet track pit. If you’re looking for a great collection of karts in an indoor setting then this might be the one for you.

Track: Two different tracks including the 5-turn pro track which is used for either the Pro or Super Pro Karts.
It’s quite a fast race with a lot of laps and sharp turns. There isn’t much opportunity for straights and reaching top speeds.
The Cadet track is circular which is a great introduction for Go Karting and great for little kids.
Karts: They have four different options for karts. Firstly are the junior karts for beginners, Cadet karts that are 4.5 Horsepower.
These both give good options for children depending on their age. The Pro Karts are for ages 13+ and 6.5 Horsepower.
Finally, there are the super karts which are what most adults and older teens (16+) are going to want to try out. The super karts can reach up to 65mph, though this is difficult to reach consistently with the track.
Food & Beverages: Xtreme Action Park has the Pit Stop Kitchen available, which offers a series of burgers, wings, and pizza, as well as Mexican food like wraps and quesadillas.
For adults, there is the Pit Bar for you to have a relaxing drink after racing!
Entertainment: Xtreme Action Park has a large selection of other things to do, including an Arcade, Bowling, Escape Rooms, Laser Tag, Roller Skating, Rope Courses, and Virtual Reality. There is plenty to do here for an exciting day out!
Merch Shop: Merch shop that offers lots of different memorabilia to commemorate your visit!
Booking: Depending on the age range, there are lots of different pricing options available. For junior 3x Race sessions it costs $45, with extra charges for head socks.

Restrictions: There is no height restriction for the basic junior karts, but there is a recommended age of 6 years and up.
This is because the karts are low-powered and don’t pose as much danger, and they also have adjustable pedals.
